side piece

Side Piece is an ongoing collection of side tables in which no two pieces are the same. Inspired by  ever-bulbous reishi, this series attempts to mimic that same adaptable, rigid softness - as though inflated to form to its environment.  I allow the characteristics of the wood to inform its shape and posture.

Made of solid Sapele, this side table intends to promote a feeling of softness, warmth and safety. The wood grain itself is magically iridescent and captures the light in an ever-evolving manner.
